Michael Deitch

Michael Deitch was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1955 and grew up in Houston, Texas.  Mike attended the University of Texas where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with high honors (magna cum laude) in 1975.  He was also admitted to Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi.  Mike graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in May 1979. He was licensed in November 1979 and immediately began a business litigation practice. During the local business downturn of the 1980s, Mike expanded his practice into bankruptcy, representing business debtors and creditors.   He obtained Board Certifications from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Trial Law and Business Bankruptcy in1989 and retained those designations until 2003 when he further expanded his practice into business and real estate transactions.
Mike has tried over thirty jury cases and continues to litigate in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts when no other solution will solve his clients’ problems. Mike calls on more than thirty years of legal experience to counsel and advise his clients, often successfully avoiding the courthouse when dealing with reasonable adversaries.
Mike has spoken at seminars on collections, bankruptcy, and commercial landlord/tenant law. He is a member of the Austin Bar Association and a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.  He is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of Texas, and the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of Texas. Mike was president of the Jewish Community Association of Austin (Federation) in 2001 and 2002 and does volunteer work for his local Temple.

Brian Deitch

Brian Deitch

Find Brian On LinkedInBrian Deitch was born in Austin, Texas. He attended the University of Texas where he studied Economics and Business Foundations. His studies in economics taught him to examine problems from every angle and calculate the outcome from any choice made. Following his graduation as a Longhorn, he attended his first year of law school at South Texas College of Law. In his first year, Brian was named a Dean’s Merit Scholar. Brian then transferred to the University of Houston Law Center where his studies focused on litigation and business law. While at the University of Houston Law Center, Brian served as a candidate for the Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy, and went on to serve as the Journal’s Managing Editor.

Brian actively participates in several organizations including the Austin Bar Association, Austin Young Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, and the Real Estate Council of Austin. Brian also serves as the Co-Editor in Chief for the Technology for the Litigator Newsletter produced by the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association and on the Board of Directors as the VP of Membership for Club Red of Central Texas (American Red Cross Young Professionals of Central Texas). Brian was recently selected to serve on the Hill Country Conservancy‘s 2012 EPIC Leadership Council.

Brian is member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.
